Claud Cecil Gurney, founder of British wallpaper house de Gournay. Gurney established his company in 1986 after touring factories in China after the fall of Communism. De Gournay employs both artists and copy artists in its studios; some are tasked with creating new designs, while others meticulously duplicate a master's work, a process that has been practiced in Asia for centuries.
