Bergère

From our Bespoke Upholstered Furniture Collection, the Bergère, also known as the shepherdess chair, is an iconic design that originated in Paris during the French Régence (1715–23) and reached its most ornate height during Rococo period when King Louis XV reigned. It is designed to expose its wood curved frame, some of which with carved details. Ideal for lounging in comfort with its deeper, wider, tailored seat and padded elbowrests.

The Bergère may be created with any of fabric or trim of your choice. We have a wide range of family/pet-friendly, stain-resistant textiles to high-end wovens, prints & passementerie to accommodate your wishes.

Accent with Contrast Fabric or Ribbon Trim around the cushions or arms or along the back as additional options to achieve a unique statement. Choice from standard wood stains or custom (Benjamin Moore) shade, upon request for a fee.

Depending on fabric, trims and colour of Show Wood Frame, the Bergère can be classically refined or decisively contemporary.

Seat cushion is done in high density foam for long lasting support. You may upgrade the seat insert with feather-envelope, down-envelope or faux down-envelope for more generous cushioning.

Starting price subject to fabric (combination), finishing details and (custom vs standard) wood stain
