While our Design Shop caters to customers looking for furnishings and decorative services, our Interior Design Studio is available by appointment for clients seeking a cohesive, elevated completion with our Full Service Design Services. For 20+ years, KENDALL & Co continues to created inspired spaces and exceptional homes.
All projects begin with a complimentary Meet & Greet at our Design Studio. This meeting entails the following:
Provide an opportunity to meet our Design Team and determine a mutual fit in working together
Answer questions about our Fee Structure and Budget Expectations.
Share our experiences creating inspired homes from our past projects over 20+ years from coast to coast
Discuss our products and services. Many of which are exclusively through leading Design Firms, like KENDALL & Co.
Understand your style direction and vision for the outcome.
After the Meet & Greet, we move forward with our In-Home Design Consultation which is scheduled upon payment of a Professional Fee. The In-Home Design Consultation enables our Design Team to come on site for approx 2 hours to gather details to proceed with the planning of your space. This encompasses the following:
Take photos and general measurements of your space
Articulate the desired function and aesthetic for the space from all decision makers
Offer high level design recommendations
Establish a general budget reflecting the solutions involved
After the In-Home Design Consultation, our Design Team will take a few weeks to compose a Design Prospectus documenting your wish list and our Big Picture, along with visuals to get our ideas across to you.
When completed, we meet together at our Studio to approve the Design Prospectus. The Prospectus is our tool to itemize your "shopping list" and from which your budget is then formalized with your comprehension of the necessary range of products and services. Our Retainer is also based on that budget. Once we are retained with 50% of our Design Fee, an involved process then takes place over the course of a few weeks to translate the Prospectus into specific solutions by our Design Team.
We regroup for our Design Presentation at our Studio where we review options sourced for you in a thorough and informed manner. That may involve colours, fabrics, furnishings, custom cabinetry, lighting, window treatment, wallcovering, floorcovering, decor, sketched layout. Additional Design Fee arises when addendum to the scope is requested by you.
The client signs off on the Final Design & General Budget with balance payment on the Design Fee + an initial Progress Payment on the project, to initiate Purchase Orders and Workroom Orders.
Our Project Implementation affords you the following peace of mind:
Scheduled status meetings to go action items and finances so that deliverables can move forward efficiently.
Facilitate the project to its completion in a timely fashion by handling all the interdependencies on your behalf through our Design Office & our own Site Coordinator
Order all the design products and components from an array of suppliers and manufacturers
Secure stock at our negotiated prices for all sourced products
Accept deliveries of ordered goods and quality check before items arrive on site or are sent to our workrooms
Document a clear scope of work for a comprehensive workroom quote
Provide Delivery Crew with secured access in and out of job site on an as needed basis to reduce disturbance to you & your family
Site clean up, disposal of refuse and packaging
Assembly and precise placement of design products with care
Final day(s) of installation is overseen by our Design Team with On-Site Coordinator
